9 Reasons We Should Study the Life of David

Today we start an eleven-week series on the life of David. We will reconstruct the life of David from the time of God choosing him to the last words he ever uttered. Did you know that David is the only person in all of Scripture to be called a “man after God’s own heart”? As a matter of fact, he is given this designation twice in the Old Testament. David was a man who chased after God and stumbled many times in his pursuit.  In his life we see our struggle to be Godly people with massive failings. We venture into this study on David not to idolize him, but marvel at the grace of God that is available to us.
