A New Beginning

Last week we defined providence as God’s holy and definite plan working through the lives of people, places, and things. The Apostle Paul expresses the dynamic of God’s providence like this: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). While Naomi did not know the term, she had discovered its truth. Now God in His infinite wisdom and inexhaustible grace has given us the story of Ruth, a story that reveals to you the goodness and greatness of our God.
