Imago Dei: Being Pro-Life in the 21st Century

January 18, 2015

January 22nd is the 42nd observance of the Supreme Court ruling, Roe v. Wade, which gave us abortion on demand for all nine months of a woman’s pregnancy. It is acknowledged by the leading abortion provider, Planned Parenthood (through their Guttmacher Institute) that over 57 million children have died. Is being anti-abortion all that the pro-life movement stands for? Obviously the answer is no. Public policy on the sanctity of life is being shaped by a host of new 21st century threats and we—the Church—must be like the men of Issachar who understand the times and know what God requires of us.
