We are continuing with our special series, “INDICATIVE and IMPERATIVE” from the first letter of Peter. The author appeals to his readers that since they have been made holy, they now must BE holy in the way they live their lives and especially as they relate to unbelievers. In today’s passage, we follow Peter’s command for a wife to be submissive to her husband with a mandate for husbands to live with their wives according to knowledge, to honor their wives in a specific way, and to not let their failure to do so hinder their prayers.
