Promise
(Luke 1:57-66, Luke 1:13-14, Genesis 17:7-8, 9, 10-11, Leviticus 12:3, Ruth 4:16-17)
Promises are declarations to do or not do something. Given people are unable to control life circumstances, a promise is more like a wish or strong desire. Promises made by God are different. Promises made by God are better related to a guarantee – something will happen because God will make it happen.
